Stategic Planning
  • Overall coordination of strategic planning activities for the Faculty, including development of a new Faculty of Education Strategic Plan (2009).
  • Creation of a Strategic Planning Advisory Council within the Faculty.
  • Creation of five working groups for setting priorities and developing work plans for the Faculty based on the new strategic plan. (Research & scholarship, Leadership & community, Identity & values, Work-life balance, Diversity & belonging).
Academic Leadership and Program Development
  • Support for innovative program development across faculty units. (ED-D 101, Certificate in Special Education, C&I Certificate Programs, Ph.D. in Kinesiology).
  • Development of an annual Faculty Academic Plan for VPac.

Cooperative Learning: Philosophy and Practice.  (1992) Course manual and videotapes for Continuing Studies course on cooperative learning. (ED-E 480).  Co-produced with Dr. Deborah Court.

Differences:  A Study of Junior Secondary Students' Experiences and Perspectives on Violence and Deviance. (1994).  SuperCard application built using a grant from The Vancouver Foundation. The purpose of the software is to provide students, teachers and administrators an opportunity to examine the findings of a large scale study conducted by S. Artz and myself on the topic of youth violence.  Principal programmer on the project was S. Morrison.

Shalay’ nung Swxega: Tales of Transformation. (2006). A DVD video production documenting the Thunderbird Whale Protection Pole Course offered by the Faculty of Education. Co-produced with Janet Riecken with assistance from W. Chow, N. Cruickshanks, E. Holdsworth, S. Persaud, C. Roberts & V. Wasden.

An Introduction to Cooperative Learning.  (1991).  An interactive Hypercard stack that introduces the user to the key components of Johnson & Johnson's conceptual model for cooperative learning. 

Part of the Solution. (1992).  An interactive HyperCard stack designed to teach cooperative learning and group based problem solving skills. Created with Scott Morrison, a work study student in the Faculty of Education.

Our Heritage Video Stack  (1993). This is an interactive program designed for use with the "Our Heritage" laser video disk produced and distributed by Matrix Corporation of Vancouver.  The program uses HyperCard as an operating system and incorporates video drivers produced by the Voyager Video Corporation.

Rock-Solid Children Youth and Adults: Creating a responsive environment for the prevention of youth violence. (2000). Educational video tape (30 min.) and teacher's manual made with Dr. Bonnie Leadbeater and Dr. Laurie Baxter of the Centre for Youth and Society, and Corporal Tom Woods  of the Rock Solid Foundation.
