A significant part of my work as dean involves connecting with community in the form of campus members, university alumni, faculty and students as well as educational stakeholders from across the province. Alumni events, development initiatives and ongoing contact with faculty, staff and students serve to increase support for education in the broadest sense of the word.

From 2008 to 2010 I served as chair of the Association of British Columbia Deans of Education and am currently president elect of the Association of Canadian Deans of Education.
