WELCOME I am Dean of the Faculty of Education and a Professor in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction. As Dean, my work in the Faculty focuses on leadership and administration. My teaching and research focus on digital media as tools for learning, especially in the area of social studies. My other research interests focus on Indigenous education and community based research. My educational philosophy is reflected in the dualism of the phrase "Learning Transforms," where transformation can be seen as both an outcome and a referent. The ideal learning experience is like a good conversation: It is interactional and enriching for all who partake. Education transforms those who engage, and is transformed itself by the participation of those who enter into it. |
