ORIGINS

The project had its origins with Dr. Lorna Williams’ ideas. Butch Dick agreed to be a part of the project as a mentor for the students and Fabian Quocksister became the main carver. In September 2005, the rest of the learning community came together, working in five teams to document the transformations of the welcoming pole. Alison Austin worked as the carving apprentice.

In this section you will find information about the dream that brought the three main educators together, as well as a description of the teams: Ceremonies, Education, Print, Video and Web.
