REQUEST FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST

Expressions of interest are invited at any time for sessional instructors for Winter and/or Summer Session courses.   All positions are subject to funding and meeting minimum enrollment requirements.  All appointments are within the CUPE 4163 (Component 3) Sessional Lecturers certification.


Winter Session 2011-12: specific course needs are still being determined, but applications listing courses you would be able to teach supported by your curriculm vitae are welcome.

Summer Session 2011:
all positions are filled.

All expressions of interest must be submitted in writing to the Director (askephe@uvic.ca) of the School of Exercise Science, Physical & Health Education on or before May 30 for courses starting in September; October 1 for courses starting in January; and February 1 for courses starting in May or July.

Supporting documents (e.g., resumé or curriculum vita) should be included with your letter if this would be your first appointment. Only the letter of interest is required from individuals seeking re-appointment.

The anticipated date by which employment decisions will be made is mid-July for courses starting in September; end of October for courses starting in January; and early March for courses starting in May or July.

The selection criteria will include the qualifications and ability of the candidate(s) based on relevant education and professional experience and teaching effectiveness.

The School of Exercise Science, Physical & Health Education reserves the right to fill additional teaching assignments from the pool of applicants for this posting.
