Viviene Temple is an Associate Professor in the School of Physical Education at the University of Victoria. Her areas of specialization are physical education pedagogy, physical activity, and adapted physical activity. She teaches pedagogy to secondary physical education specialists and elementary generalist undergraduate teacher preparation students. Viviene’s research focuses on promoting health through physical activity among children and adults with disabilities and promoting physical activity and movement skill development in the child care sector. Currently, Viviene is working on the Healthy Opportunities for Preschoolers project and working with 2010 Legacies Now to integrate literacy, physical activity, and healthy eating into resources for parents and child care providers. Viviene is also on the National Board of the Canadian Association for Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance. |
