Immunization

Immunization is one of the most important ways we keep our children and our communities safe from harmful and fatal childhood diseases. It is very important that you have your child immunized.

Immunizations are very safe. The shots contain tiny amounts of dead or weakened virus or bacteria that help babies’ and children’s bodies to fight diseases for the rest of their lives.

There are more benefits to having your baby immunized than there are harmful effects. It is very important to keep your baby’s shots up to date to protect them and others from disease. Click here to read about common myths about vaccine and immunization safety.
