The Story of HOPE

The story that follows is based on the real lives of the young mothers who worked on the HOPE project and the creation of this website. Even though these young moms come from many different communities, backgrounds and circumstances, they have had very similar experiences and faced very similar struggles growing up which they believe led them to drop out of school and become pregnant as teenagers. As parents, these young women now share the difficult challenge of raising children on their own before graduating from high school, or having satisfying employment and a steady source of income to rely on. Now, the most important thing shared by these HOPE moms is the courage and desire to improve themselves and their situations by finishing their educations and living lifestyles that support all aspects of their own health (physical, mental, emotional and spiritual), and that of their children. Appropriately, the name of the young mother in our story is HOPE.
