The following guidelines
are offered in order to clarify Note 3 for the selection of science electives by BSc Kinesiology students:
- Students are permitted to take up to a maxium of 3 units of
the following courses towards the 12 units of required general
science electives: ANTH 250, PSYC 215A, PSYC 215B.
- Students are encouraged to develop a logical grouping of senior
science electives (6 or more units) within a particular area of
study (e.g., physiology/biology; neurophysiology/psychology; biochemistry;
computer science...).
- All 300 and 400 level courses offered by the following departments
will be acceptable as senior science electives for the BSc Kinesiology
degree programs:
Biochemistry & Microbiology

Physics and Astronomy (except PHYS 303)
|
Biology (except BIOL 334 & 338)
|
Computer Science
|
Chemistry
|
Mathematics & Statistics
|
In addition, the following
courses CAN BE USED as senior science electives:
ANTH 352, 452
EOS 330, 340
GEOG 325, 328, 370, 374
PSYC 300A, 300B, 313, 315, 317A, 317B, 323, 324, 400A, 401, 413, 415, 435A-F, 490 (NB: depending on area of study).
The following psychology courses are approved as BSc Kinesiology senior science electives if taken as part of a declared Minor in Psychology: PSYC 332, 335, 336, 339, 342, 345A, 350, 360.
Courses NOT LISTED above
must be approved by the Kinesiology Program Coordinator and documented
by the Ex Scie, Phys & Health Ed (EPHE) Adviser.
